Babylon ARTS is delighted to bring Lamphouse Theatre's Suitcase Shakespeare to Ely, as part of Ely Arts Festival.
In Suitcase Shakespeare two actors bring to life an entire Shakespeare play using only what’s in their suitcases!
From three extremely weird sisters to two soppily star-crossed lovers and every messenger, warrior, queen, king and nurse in between, you can expect side-splitting comedy and toe-tapping live music in these fantastic 45 minute versions of Shakespeare’s most popular plays!
What you need to know:
Arrive from 30 minutes before the show-time
Bring a picnic blanket to sit on
Choose a spot in view if the performance area in the bandstand, socially distanced from other audience members
We'll go ahead in light rain, so bring a coat with a hood. No umbrellas, unless you stand at the back!
Suitable for all aged 6 to 106
Shows are about 45 minutes in duration.
This event is free, but do consider bringing a donation towards Babylon ARTS bringing more live theatre and dance to Ely.
